Mahirap maging mahirap

Mahirap talagang maging mahirap. Nag work na ko for more than 5 years pero wala pa rin akong naipon. Though naka bili naman ako ng kotse, na-ondoy naman. Dami talagang pag subok ang dumadating sa buhay ko. Tumatanda na rin ako at ang panahon na nakalaan para makapag trabaho ako umiikli. Sobrang gusto kong bumili ng bagong sasakayan, sa kasamaan palad hindi ganun kaganda ang personal financial situation ko. Kung bibili man ako, mababa lang aking maiidown. Napakababa din ng value ng sasakyan na nabili dahil na-ondoy nga. Hay... saklap talaga. Hanggang tingin na lang siguro ako sa mga bagong sasakyan. Pero para sa akin masmabuti na lang na ganito kaysa mabaon ako sa utang. Siguro pag subok lang to. Sinasabi ng Diyos na maging matiisin ako at may plano siya para sa akin. Magtitipid na lang ako at mag-iipon. Mag iinvest na rin para mas kumita pera ko. Ngaun ko lang na realized na sa loob ng isang taon, 13 lang akong sumiweldo! Kaya dapat talaga mag tipid. Kahit na lumaki pa ang sweldo ang gastos ay lalaki rin. Sarap sana ng may bagong kotse pero ganun talaga e. Di kasi ako nag ayos e. Kaya eto walang nangyari. Hay...

Today our kind Lord have taken his son back to be with Him. Though it saddens us, I know that our Lord has His reasons. It was just so soon and we are not prepared for this. He was relatively healthy during the past months then suddenly it happened, he's gone. It has been difficult to accept.

I would like to dedicate this post to a great man. He was able to raise 6 wonderful children. One of them I love very much. He gives good advise and is very knowledgable it many things. I really enjoy talking with him specially with regards to the NBA. He likes to explain things I guess its a trait my girlfriend inherited from him. He's a very good singer as well. I will surely miss my interactions with him every time I go visit my girlfriend's house. It will no longer be the same because when I visit the next time he will no longer be there and that it is saddest part of losing someone. You will no longer be able to talk and eat with that someone. You will no longer be able to see him smile.

Dad, I know that where ever you are now you are in a better place. We'll all be strong for you and we'll live our life applying all the knowledge and advise you have inpart with us. We'll always take care of ourselves. As long as your daughter wants me in her life, I swear that I will always love and take care of her. Thanks for everything, we'll surely miss you.

Wow! March na! Bilis-bilis talaga. Nag-start umpisahan yung 2nd floor ng bahay namin. Since malaking section ng bahay ang ipapa second floor, kailangan namin tumira sa ibang bahay muna. Buti na lang may bahay na malapit sa amin na pinapa-upahan. Dun muna kami nag stay ngayon. Mga 3 months daw gagawin yung bahay so May pa siguro matatapos. Sa Wednesday, babalik ako ng Cebu. Ok na rin kasi pag nasa Cebu ako matipid sa pagkain at gas pero cyempre kakalungkot kasi kailangan kong iwan si Hanne my labs. Mga 3 weeks cguro ako dun. Ang flight ko is March 27 pabalik ng Manila. Sana wala ng maging problema at makapag go-live ng maayos. Lalo na yung ORS, sana hindi magkaroon ng problema at ma-implement ng maayos.

Limampu sa Manda

50th anniversay celebration ng Lourdes School of Mandaluyong last Saturday February. I have doubts first if I should attend pero naisip ko na minsan lang din naman yun at 50 years is a great feat. Kahit na mahal ang registration fee (500 pesos) sulit na rin kasi may goodie bags, buffet dinner (though naubos din agad buti na lang maaga kami dumating), at libreng beer (di nga lang malamig). Nag-enjoy ako kasi nakita ko yung iba kong high school batchmates na matagal ko ng di nakikita kahit na yung iba kapit bahay ko lang. Masarap din mag libot-libot at tignan yung mga buildings na dati akala ko ang laki-laki ngayon parang ang liit lang pala. Nakita ko rin yung dati kong advisers at teachers though di na nakapag kwentuhan ng matagal.

Maganda yung experience at paminsan-minsan masarap aalalahanin yung nakaraan at gawin itong inspirasyon para sa kinabukasan.

Hirap Mabuhay

Hay... hirap mabuhay. Minsan naiisip ko na sana kunin na lang ako ni Lord para matapos na ang lahat ng ito. Wala na kong ginawang tama. Lagi na lang akong disappointment sa pamilya ko. Lahat na lang desisyon ko sa buhay para sa kanila mali. Sana matapos na lahat ng paghihirap ko.

Still, may mga times na gusto ko pa rin mabuhay. Nandiyan si Hanne at mga kaibigan ko. Sana makayanan ko tong pagsubok na ito.

Christmas 2009!

Masaya ang pasko dahil magkakasama kami at nandito ang boyfriend ng ate ko na foreigner. Kahit na low-blood kaming lahat kaka-english, masaya naman dahil madali naman siyang pakisamahan. Wala nga lang ang dad ko pero tumawag naman siya nung Christmas at nakausap namin siyang lahat. Salamat sa mga nag regalo sa akin! Dami kong natanggap na polo shirt. Sakto yan pag balik ko ng Cebu susuotin mga bigay nila. :)

Ang Christmas wish ko ay sana magkaroon kami lahat ng malusog na pangangatawan at maging ligtas kaming lahat. Personal wish ko ay sana maayos na ang kotse ko. Almost 3 months na since Ondoy pero di pa rin siya naayos. :( Well, think positive na lang. Sana maibalik pa siya sa dati.

Due to a very busy work schedule, I haven't been able to post much in the office. Anyway, my current project is doing well. Most mods have been delivered and the one's still being developed are the difficult ones.

One news is that I purchased a new ride! I've been driving a 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer for almost three years now. This actually belongs to my sister but when she decided to study masters degree in Japan for two years, I used it and helped out with the financial, maintenance and fuel. Now that she's bank, she'll be needing to use it again for her logistics. So at first, we were thinking of getting a brand new one for her like a Toyota Vios. But then the Lancer still has two years of financing left and she has no job at the moment. Buying another brand new car would be very expensive.

So while we were thinking of how to resolve this issue, Hanne's friend was selling a condo unit in Taguig. I informed my parent's about it so we decided to take a look at it since it would be a nice investment. She was selling the condo since she'll be studying abroad. We also found out that she was also selling her car a 2008 Ford Focus. Since she's in a hurry to sell it, the price is very reasonable so we decided to purchase it for my personal use since it's in manual transmission.

The car still looks new inside and out and only 21k km reading. I think that it was a very good deal. Though of course has it disadvantages. It still has two years worth of financing that I must shoulder. The OR/CR can only be transferred to me when I finished paying the two years left in the banks financing. Though the monthly is very reasonable and I think I can afford it. Maintenance of Ford cars costs is much expensive since you can only use genuine parts for it unlike Japanese cars. Fuel Consumption I think is in the average. It's 1.8 and runs very fast. But it's manual transmission so its more economical compared to cars with automatic transmission. Overall, I think its a good car and a good deal as well. Aside from all of these, one factor that made me like this car is its color! I like black just like my blog's title: "The Phantom Skyline". Though it's not a Skyline, I think I will enjoy driving this car.

Seven Years

I try not to post emo entries here but I guess I have to say my thanks to a very special person in my life. We're together now for 7 years and been through a lot of tough times together. Thank you for always being there for me. I'm not perfect yet you stayed with me and loved me for who I am. For that I am forever grateful.

Mid-Year Update

It's June already! Wow! Looking back at my wishes and resolutions at the start of the year, I wasn't able on the live healthy and loose weight goal. In terms of career, I guess some came true like being able to travel onsite though not outside the country, I was able to go to Cebu and Davao and interact directly with the client and architects. I really learn a lot from them and realize that my knowledge of CC&B's subsystems and functionality is still limited so I've decided to learn whatever I can from my experience there and improve the skills that I have.

My primary goal now starting this month up to December is stay healthy and fit. Of course do my best at work too so that the project will be a success!~

Sobrang emo pala ng huli kong post. Hahaha. Anyway, sobrang sorry sa mga tropa at hindi na ko nakapag celebrate ng birthday with you peeps! Salamat sa text at pagbati! Biglaan kasi yung pagpunta kong Cebu so hindi na ko nakapag ready ng kahit anong inuman or something. Babawi na lang ako sa inyo next time. Anyway, first week Cebu ay naging ok naman. Cyempre puro work, nagdidinner lang sa Ayala mall after week pero sa office puro trabaho kasi nakakahiya mag internet. Hehehe. Lahat sila serious so dapat ako rin!

Nakakamiss cyempre si Hanne. Pero ganun talaga part yun ng trabaho! Tiis tiis muna.

Sometimes Love ain't enough

Pwede cgurong consider itong true story dahil nangyari talaga sa akin. Na-inlove ako before sa isang babae na sobrang mahal na mahal ko. Years ko siyang sinuyo at niligawan sinagot niya naman ako pero after 3 weeks nakipag break din siya. Nag-sorry siya some years after nag-break kami. Sabi niya na sobrang bait ko sa kanya at sa kanyang family yet nagawa niya kong saktan. I forgave her and we both moved on. Now she has family and she's happy. Narealize ko na kahit gaano mo kamahal ang isang tao at kahit gaano ka kabait sa kanya mas pipiliin niya pa rin yung taong mahal niya. I guess ang puso talaga ng tao ay mahirap intindihin. Hopefully hindi na ulit mangyari sa akin ito.

March na! It's officially summer. Medyo mainit na pero ngayon araw ay umuulan. Hays hirap talaga sa tropical na bansa paiba-iba panahon. Anyway so far, ok pa naman dito sa work. Minsan nga lang walang ginagawa pero sabi naman daw ay by May marami na ulit work! So hopefully kailangan pa nila ng tao sa mga projects. Well ang good news meron company outing! Nagtataka nga lang ako kasi mag start na kami mag freeze hire at walang increase para makatipid pero meron kaming company outing. Hopefully makasama ako since masaya naman lahat ng company outing na naattendan ko.

Kailangan ko na rin mag-ipon since balak namin pamilya na puntahan ate ko sa Japan sa June! Gusto ko talaga makapunta dun para makita naman yung mga lugar na nakikita ko lang sa anime. Pamasahe at kaunting pocket money lang naman ang kailangan ko pag-ipunan so hopefully makapag-ipon ako. So far matipid naman ako sa tingin ko. Hindi na rin ako kumakain ng madalas sa labas at binabawasan ko na mag merienda sa mga fast foods pag hapon. Sana talaga matuloy kami!

Dreadful News

It's official. Our company announced that employees won't have any increase this year. I guess even a large international company is not safe from the ongoing economic crisis. We'll also be freeze hiring by June. Still there are some projects that would be coming along. If there's projects, then there is still work. Since there's no increase, it means I can't get it to debt. Before I've always relied on increase in salary to have extra money to pay off debts. But now I won't put myself in that situation. I've learned my lesson. Earlier this year, when I received my Christmas bonus I've decided to fully pay debt. Also this January I reduced another debt. Now my remaining debt is manageable. I'm also starting building my emergency fund and is more or less 25% complete. I really hope and pray that there won't be any layoffs coming. I hope all of us in our company would be able to survive this.

Two months into the Financial Crisis and Valentines Celebration

Whew. I'm glad I was able to survive for two months in these tough economic times. So far, there have been no signs of lay-offs in the office. Company's still hiring which is a good sign. There are still work available although not as many as before as we are almost done with all of the development tasks in our project. Hopefully the other projects would need people as well. Also received a pay check for the month of Feb. These days I've never been more appreciated of my pay check since I always pray that it won't be my last. I just want to thank the Lord for always being there when we need Him. Hopefully the world economy would stabilize and recover by the end of the year.

Valentines day has been a success. We ate at Itallianis at Fort Bonifacio High Street. The food was good and there's music too! The singer name's Rocky Bella (don't know if I was able to spell it right). It was my first time eating there. Hanne and I just ordered one pasta for sharing and one pizza. We even have to take out the pizza since we weren't able to finish it. I observed that lately we don't eat as many as before. I guess we're becoming more health conscious. I also gave her flowers, stuff toy, chocolates and a Valentines card. Didn't really spend that much. One trait I like about her is that she's not into those expensive stuffs so I really don't have to spend a lot to please her. I'm really glad I was able to spend it with her. It was worth the trouble preparing for this special day.

Hallo! Lately the work load is not as heavy as before. Just some defects that needed to be reviewed every now and then. I even had a week where I have to book training due to lack of work in our project and other projects as well. Hopefully work would continue to come in because if there's no work, then that would be a bad sign.

So its valentines day this weekend! In our culture, it is us guys who usually prepare for this day and ensure our loved ones we'll enjoy it. We must give flowers, chocolates, gifts or treat them out to dinner. It will sure do some dps to our wallets. But in Japan during valentines day, it is the girls who give chocolates to partners/male friends. Now its quite different from us. Girls would give dark\brown (as long as its not white) chocolates during valentines day to their partner (bf/husbands), to someone they like (but not yet going out with) or to their male friends. In order to somehow distinguish the chocolate for a person they like and for a male friend, the chocolate for a person they like is usually handmade while a chocolate for a male friend is just a commercialized brand bought at a store sometimes in a convenient store. The guys have a chance to return the favor from the chocolates they received during valentines day on March 14 which they call 'White Day'. Here the guys give the girls White chocolates or gifts that are more expensive as courtesy (social obligation) or expression of love they received during valentines day. I think this is really a good practice and way of expressing one's feelings. Here the boundary between friendship or love of a man and a woman is clearly expressed. So to them if you have a female friend that you liked but did not received her handmade chocolate, then it would be clear that she only sees you as a friend.

I really I don't have an elaborate plan during valentine's day. I usually prepare for something more during our anniversary celebration more than valentines (not sure if we're going to celebrate it this year though). Anyway, if Hanne's available, I would ask her to go out and have dinner. Some flowers and chocolate would also be good because she loves chocolates (i'm not sure if she eats the flowers as well). Hopefully everything we'll go well on my valentines day.

Year 2008 Recap

Looking at my previous posts, I've made some recap for the whole year by summarizing what happend each month. So here's the recap of 2008.

January - Yarra Valley Water is in full swing. This is the start of the 50 hour per week working hours. This would last until March.

February - My parental grand father died. We we're all sad by his passing but I know he's in a better place now.

March - Suppose to be the final stretch of extended working hours for Yarra Valley. Akon became a part of our family.

April - My Birthday! Turned 25! Had a kind of different celebration as a I treat my inaanaks and pinsans to Manila Ocean Park

May - Still Working at Yarra but load seemed to lessen. Many of us would be rolled off eventually.

June - Worked part time for TRUIBM and Yarra project. Celebrated 6th anniversary with Hanne! So happy!

July - Still Working part time for Yarra and TRUIBM

August - Started on the Western Power project. First project to actually experience it from the start since I usually join projects that has already started.

September - Now working as a full time designer in the Western Power project. Went to Ilocos with Office friends and Sweet!

October - Still Working at Western Power Project. My dad was hospitalized. Still by God's grace he was able to recover fully.

November - Still Working at Western Power Project. Wrath of the Lich King Released!

December - Christmas! And I was on leave for the last two weeks of December!

Overall it was a good year for me and my family. Work has been good so far and loved ones had good health. Hopefully 2009 would be as blessed and meaningful as 2008.

New Year Resolution Time

Here are my new resolution for 2009. This is a more comprehensive list compared to my previous post. I placed some details on how am I going to achieve these goals since you cannot achieve something without having a detailed plan on how to reach my goals.

- Loose 20 to 30 pounds of weight.
- No more soft drinks/juice/iced tea. I'll dramatically reduce drinking these.
- Drink more water. Drinking water has a lot of benefits. Instead of drinking soft drinks, I'll drink water.
- Dramatically reduce alcohol intake specially beer. I don't think this is hard for me to accomplish since my days of strong drinking and alcohol consumption is coming to an end. I can no longer drink the same amount of alcohol I was drinking before.
- No more junk food. This is hard for we have a sari-sari store.
- Dramatically reduce chocolates. Another hard thing to do since my Dad's an OFW. Most of the time we have chocolates on the fridge.
- No more ice cream
- Exercise more:
- Do 20 to 30 minute brisk walking in the morning
- Do some stretching in the morning
- Buy a sit-up board
- On weekends, reduce WoW playtime and more into exercise
- Avoid heavy meals at night

- Report to office on time
- Sleep more, play less WoW

- Save more money
- I'm already saving 10% of my monthly salary, this year I'll try to push it to 20%
- Avoid spending on useless items
- Lessen dining in expensive restaurants or only order enough
- Insure myself

I guess these are the things I can think of for now. I know this list would expand as time goes by. Hopefully I would be achieve all of this this year. If not, I hope I will able to have some progress in reaching my goals.

Another new year has come again! Wow, its already 2009. 2008 just passed by so fast.

I have a lot things to be thankful for in 2008:
- I'm still employed! Really a great blessing from God! Hopefully I would still be employed in 2009.
- Career growth. I've had my share of positive growth in terms of my career.
- Healthy family and loved ones.
- Successful operation of my dad
- I was able to upgrade my PC
- Celtics Championship
- Manny Pacquiao's wins
- Eraserheads reunion concert

With so many thankful things in 2008, there are also sad things that happened in 2008. Although it hurts, its good to remember them.
- Lolo Carding passed away. We miss you a lot.
- Hanne... nuff said

Now for the coming 2009 I have some new year resolution that I would certainly apply in my life.
- Loose 20 to 30 pounds
- Come to work early
- Be more productive in Work
- Save more money

Things I wish for in 2009:
- Job Security. I hope we won't have any lay-offs in our company
- World Economy recovery
- Good Health for me and my loved ones

- LCD TV and PS3
- Build a new desktop to replace the old one being used by my mom

Christmas, Gift Giving and Wish Lists

Christmas is just 4 days away. When I was just a little kid, I really liked Christmas since I know I'll be receiving gifts and money during this time of the year. And the money I receive goes to buying stuff that I want. I also believed in Santa Claus. I used to hang a sock outside our house and when I wake up in the morning, I find a treat in it usually money. Back in grade school, we have our annual Christmas party and exchange gift. I'm not really that lucky in exchange gifts, I usually don't get the best gift there is. I remember getting the gifts most people don't like receiving in exchange gifts like picture frame, soap and towels etc. Of course during those days, I get disappointed but now my outlook on gift giving is very different from before.

I guess it started when I was in first year high school. It was December and I attended my first Christmas Institute. It's kinda a week long seminar where youths from different churches gather together to learn more about the Bible and Jesus Christ's teachings. I'll never forget since this was the time when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I was born-again.

Since then, my outlook on Christmas changed. Instead of the usual attitude of expecting gifts from others not just ordinary gifts but gifts that I like and wanted to have, Christmas became more of a thanksgiving event for me. During this time, I thank God that He gave us His Son to save us from our sins. I thank God for all the blessing He has given me and my family. I thank Him that I celebrate it with my loved ones. I also try my best to give gifts to each member of my family to show my thanks and gratitude. Even before when I'm still a student and don't have money, I'll try my best to give gifts to each member of the family. And each year I'm happy even though I don't receive the gifts that I wanted. For me what's important now is that everyone I love and care about are happy. I can buy the things that I want even if its not Christmas but having a happy family to spend Christmas with is something that I'm sure no amount of money can buy. That's why during Christmas it's really better to give than to receive.

Wish List:
I have here a wish list that I'm sure Santa won't have any problems providing. ;)

+ Job Security - With the current economic crisis to take full effect in 2009, I just wish I still have a job next Christmas and years to come!

+ Good Health (Me and Family) - My parents are not getting any younger. I just hope they'll have healthy bodies for years to come.

+ Happy Love life - I hope everything we'll be fine next year. LOL

+ A LCD TV and PS3 - I'm sure I won't be receiving these this Christmas but I'll try to have these before next year's Christmas.

+ Stable World Economy - This is related to Wish #1. A lot of families we'll be having a not so happy Christmas this year. Many jobs were cut including OFWs who were sent home. I just hope that the crisis doesn't worsen so that we'll have a more joyous Christmas next year.

Global Economic Slowdown

As we all know, the world is facing one of it's worst economic crisis we have experienced since the Great Depression. I never thought that I would be alive when the world economy hits a serious crisis. I was in high school when the Asian economic crisis happened. I have to admit that I was not that affected by it. It's maybe because my Dad is a seaman and he earns his money in dollars that we we're able to survive. He was 46 then. But now he is 57 and currently not working since he had a kidney operation a month ago. He's anxious with what's happening in the world's economy specially with the drop of crude oil prices. When oil prices drop below $30 per barrel he'll probably be out of work since his company is more on off-shore activities looking for oil in the sea. If oil prices are too low, then investors in oil would slow down. I'm worried since he's still our bread winner. Though they have savings, I don't think we're ready if he retires now. Both my sisters are still studying graduate studies and I'm the only one working right now. I really hope we, as a family, we'll be able to survive this economic crisis.

Because of this economic crisis, like my dad, I'm also worried about my job security. So far there are no announcements of layoffs in our company but I'd rather be ready than sorry. The truth is I only rely on my monthly salary for my expenses and have no other source of income. When I lose my job, then I'm really in trouble. I have credit card debt to pay and my lifestyle now include use of a car in my travels. I was planning to buy a PS3 and LCD TV this month. But with the economic crisis, I might lose my job anytime so I've decided not buy those things for now as I don't really need them. Instead, I'll pay off my credit card debt first and save money in order to increase my emergency fund.

I found this good quote on the net that I would really like apply to my life right now.

Hopefully we'll be able to survive this economic crisis by the grace of God. I always believe that the Lord would never abandon us in our time of need.

Engineer Bodz

I'm still subscribed to Warhammer Online. I was able to level my Swordmaster to level 20 but got bored and I think the play style doesn't suit me. Also, when I charge at the enemy during PVP, I experience lag due to a lot of other players surrounding me at the same time. So I've decided to roll an Engineer. I think its play style suits me better that the Swordmaster because when I'm in range, I do not experience lag that much. Also I like positioning myself well and sniping enemies where they don't see me. I also like building gadgets (turrets, landmines, flamethrowers etc.) and positioning them carefully where they are most proficient to be used. I think play this character for awhile since I'm really enjoying it right now.

My girlfriend of 6 years decided to break up with me. Its not that we haven't broke up before, its just that this time she's the one who decided to cause she want some personal space. I have to admit that it hurts yet somehow I think that I shouldn't stop her from doing so. I think that every person in a relationship has a right to do this. Its not that I do not care, it is in fact because I care that's why I wanted her to do want she wants. A relationship where only one side is happy isn't really a good one. So I really wanted her to think about it and if she leaves I decided not to stop her though I want her not to go but if that's what she wants then I'll let her go happily.

Of course it would really cause me pain but its just part of it. I will sure miss her, miss us. But I'm sure that I'll be fine because in the end, we will only just remember how it feels.

Its November! 2008 will come to an end again and soon it would be a new year. On December, It will mark my 3 years of service in the company I'm working with. Within those years a lot of things changed, like moving to a new office and having new management. Some colleagues leaving and new people coming in. I wonder what's in-stored for me in this company? Can help but get excited with changes that can happen my life? Good thing I don't expect what kind of change to happen in my life so that I won't be disappointed when what I want does not happen. I think whatever kind of change happens in someone's life, its up to that person on how to cope up with that change. Depending on a person, the change would be either good or bad on him/her. That's why when things change, I think we should always stay positive and be prepared to look for new opportunities available.

Nearing the End of the Month

I realize this is the last week of October! How time flies. Anyway I really feel tired these past few days. Maybe because last week of the month? Its that I'm not happy at work, I just wanted to sleep more these days. I'm still relatively young but always like to sleep. Suppose to be, people at my age sleepless and can only sleep for not more than 4 hours and can still wake up early to go to work. I really feel that somethings wrong in my body. I really wish I have enough time and money to enroll in a gym. I feel like I need the exercise. I really like to live a simple and yet healthy lifestyle. I wonder how will I be able to do that? It seems like living a healthy lifestyle is expensive nowadays.

Sneaky Update!

Sobrang busy lang talaga lately kaya hindi ako makapag blog. Buti na lang nagkaroon ako ng time para update yung environment namin since meron ng SP1 release. Matagal din kasi yun mga two hours kang naghihintay.

WoW Update: Nakapag install na ko ng WoW sa wakas. So far tingin ko ang naging problema kung bakit unstable yung PC ko is dahil kulang ang voltage ng memory. So tinaasan ko siya up to .10v at after ko gawin yun naging ok na. Hindi na ko nag-eerror kapag nag iinstall from the CD/DVD. Nung una akala ko CD/DVD Rom ang may problema yung pala memory ang nag cause nun. Anyway nakakatemp bumili ng bagong processor dahil nag labas na naman sila ng mga bagong models. Pero sa totoo lang ok pa naman ako dun sa processor ko at hindi pa naman ako nakakaranas ng pagbagal. So kung mag uupgrade ako ng processor mararamdaman ko pa ba agad ang effect nito? Siguro hindi since light resources lang ang ginagamit ng mga application ng gusto ko. Anyway, sobrang astig ang retribution paladin ngayon. Pero balita ko maraming nagrereklamo so baka manerf ulit. Eto lang cguro ang ayaw ko sa WoW. Masyadong mareklamo mga tao. Ilang years ng bano ang retribution sana naman pagbigyan nila na lumakas. Nung malakas ang mga warlock at shadow priest hindi kami nag reklamo kung bakit sila OP. Haaay. Kahit kailan kawawa talaga mga paladins.

WaR: Dahil dun nag try ako ng bagong MMORPG na gawa ng EA Mythic. Maganda ang track record ng EA Mythic dahil ilan sumikat na mga MMORPG ang nirelease nila. Yun nga lang bata po ko nung mga panahon yun at di ko pa afford ang mga games nila. So far ok naman ang Warhammer online. Gumawa ako ng Swordmaster na pangalan ay Hanne. Hehehe. Mostly PVP talaga ang goal at ewan ko lang pero napapangitan ako ng kaunti sa landscape at graphics kahit na naka High Quality settings na ko. Pero I'll give this game a chance since level 6 pa lang naman ako at level 40 pa ang cap. Sa ngayon undecided pa ko kung I'll continue playing WoW or switch na ko sa WaR.

Ilocos Trip

Nagbakasyon ako sa Ilocos last week from September 26 to 29. Part ng one week kong leave. Masaya at nakakarelax naman ang naging pagpunta namin sa Pagudpod. Mahaba nga lang ang travel time pero I think it was worth it naman. Ang bilis nga lang ng oras parang saglit lang kami talaga nag stay sa Ilocos. Pero tingin ko tama lang din since wala pa naman masyado pwedeng gawin dun unlike sa Boracay. Overall impression, maganda ang Ilocos. Mga ilang years from now pa magiging must go destination na rin yan parang Boracay.

Dapat maglalaro ako ng WoW sa one week kong leave. Pero lately tinatamad na rin ako mag WoW. Dahil cguro malapit na yung expansion pero ang reason talaga cguro eh laging nag eerror yung WoW ko at kailangan ko pa mag restart para mabuksan ulit. Hay... di ko alam kung anong problema bakit ganun. Naka-install naman yung driver ng video card. Hopefully maayos na ang problema kapag nakabili na ko ng magandang power supply dahil sa Vista regular ang pag blue screen at pag restart ng PC ko. Hay kung minsan gusto ko ng benta yung computer ko at mag buo na lang ng bago. Bad trip talaga. Tapos ayaw pang basahin nung DVD-ROM ko yung original na installer ni Topeng ng WoW. DVD lang yata ang gustong binabasa nun e. Napaka arte naman ng Lite-On na SATA device.

Pero ayos lang din na hindi ako nag WoW since maaga ako nakakatulog lately at maaga ako nagigising. Bago mag 12 mn inaantok na ko hindi tulad dati na kahit 3 am ay gising na gising pa ko. Ganun ba talaga kapag tumatanda ka na? Ok naman ang mahaba ang tulog dahil maganda ang gising mo. Minsan naiisip ko rin na sayang ang oras kapag tanghali ka na nagigising so mas ok talaga ang gumising ng maaga.

Ok naman ang one week na pahinga sa pagtratrabaho. Cguro dapat every year ginagawa ko ito. Back to work na!

The Hardworking Man

Hard Working Man is what my girlfriend calls me when I have to spend extra hours at work to finish more tasks on time. I'm glad that my girlfriend is very understanding when I have to go back to the office after our dinner. I'm really glad to have a girlfriend like her.

I'm very busy these past few days. But its ok since I'll be on leave for a whole week next week! Its probably my longest leave since I started working. I've been working for more than 3 years now. I've been drained in my previous projects but since I'm performing a new role in this project, I'm enjoying it since its new but the pressure is more now since I have a lot of responsibilities compared to before. Hopefully I'll be able to perform my task well and be able to meet the expectation of the company and my team.

Wrath of the Lich King: November 13, 2008

So Blizzard finally announced that Wrath of the Lich King would be out by November 13, 2008. I've heard some of my guildmates would be quitting once WolTk comes out. I'm also thinking about quitting but I want to continue playing but this time play my paladin Junpei more. Since the lore regarding paladins in the upcoming patch would be revived (like the Order of the Silver Hand becoming the Argent Crusade), I'm hoping we will be able to receive more love from Blizzard this time around. :)

Retribution Paladin!

I'm inspired to gear up my Paladin Junpei for Retribution spec. I got some inspiration from this blog who's achievements is really inspiring for me that wants to raid with a Paladin doing DPS. According to some articles I've read in forums, the DPS of paladin can be good and helpful to a raid. The problem is many paladins played retribution and joined raids/groups without the proper gear causing them to have a bad dps reputation in the community. I would probably not achieve this at the moment since in reality, I raid with my Hunter more than my Paladin. Also our guild is already starting to raid Hyjal so the difference in gear is really great and I don't have enough badges to buy good gear. So I'm planning to farm honor points in order to buy good epics as a start. But hopefully when Woltk is released, I'll be able to start anew with my paladin since I'm planning on leveling him up first.

New Project, new Role

About two weeks ago, I was allocated to a new project. It's my first time to start on a project. Usually, I'm allocated to a project that has already started or in support phase so I'm happy since the client came over to our office to meet us and the lead Architect gave us a walkthrough of the solution. I hope that my role now in this project would be a designer. Since I've been a developer in the past projects, being a designer I hope I'll be able to meet the expectations of the people that gave me this opportunity. But come to think of it, many seniors have left this past few months. Being in the middle, I guess there was no other choice but to move people up. I hope that I'm one of those. I've always felt that they don't have any 'faith' in my skills and in what I can do. But instead of feeling depress, even though they don't believe in my capabilities, I always do my best in what I do. Because all things I do, I do it for the Lord. I've always prayed that for every success and praises I received, I offer it to Him. So whether they like me or not, I always do my best. :)

No WoW for almost a week now

I haven't played WoW since monday. Aside from being busy, I've got some personal problems I have to deal with which may take awhile to resolve. I just keep on praying and I know that God listens to all our prayers its just that He answers it in a way different from what we expect it to be but overall He's decisions are never wrong in any way since He always wants what's best for us.

I guess I haven't posted for awhile here since my grandfather died. Its because I've opened a multiply account. I think for blog matters I'll post here and just post pictures and events in my multiply account.

Ugaling Pinoy # 1 - Nicknames

Sa aking palagay ang pagbibigay ng nicknames ay isang ugaling Pinoy na. Pero tingin ko pati ibang mga lahi mahilig din mag bigay ng mga nicknames sa kanilang kapwa pero sa tingin ko mas comedy ang mga nicknames na naiisip ng mga pinoy.

Tulad na lang sa aming lugar sa Brookside, meron kaming kapit bahay na parehong Eric ang pangalan at sila ay kasama sa iisang grupo ng magkakaibigan. Kaya para di sila malito binigyan sila ng nickname ang isang Eric dahil malaki ang mata niya tinawag siya ngayon Eric "Mata". Ang isa naman ay maitim kaya tinawag siyang Eric "Libag". Kaya simula noon yan na ang tawag sa kanila ng mga kakilala nila. Ang husay di ba? Wala ng malilito niyan.

Nung ako ay nag-aaral ng grade school at high school ang tawag sa akin ay "Coloma" na apelyido ko. Hindi siya nickname pero yan tawag sa akin sa paaralan. Nung ako ay nag koleyo na, ang tawag naman sa akin ay "Lolo". Sa pagkakaintindi ko, "Lolo" ang tinawag sa akin dahil sa puti kong buhok at dahil na rin mas matanda ako ng 1 year sa karamihan (dahil nag grade 7 ako). Kasama na rin cguro dito ang pagiging strikto ko sa mga kagrupo ko kapag ako ang group leader. Dahil dito tingin ko ay nakuha ko ang respeto ng iba kong mga kaibigan nung ako nasa koleyo pa. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero eto ang naging tawag sa akin ng mga naging malalpit kong kaibigan nung college ako. Ayos lang naman sa akin na tinatawag nila akong "Lolo" noon. Kasi hindi naman nila ako tinatawag na "Lolo" upang asarin ako kung hindi yun lang talaga ang gusto nila itawag sa akin.

Nung ako ay magtratrabaho na, sa first day meeting sa SPL kung saan may introduction ang bawat isa, ang sinabi sa akin nila Jay, Bobot at Alvin noon na kailangan kong mag-isip ng maitatawag nila sa akin bukod sa Dennis dahil may Dennis na daw nun sa office kung hindi ako makaka-isip sila ang magbibigay na pangalan sa akin. Ang balak nilang bigay noon sa akin ay "Boy" na ayaw ko naman. Sino ba naman may gustong tawagin kang "Boy". Parang "Pssst Huy Boy!!!" ang pangit naman di ba? Kaya nag-isip akong mabuti ng pwede nilang itawag sa akin. At ang naisip ko ay "Bodz". Gusto ko lang icorrect na ang "Bodz" ay hindi ko Nickname, eto ay "Moniker".

Dahil ayun sa wikipedia: A moniker (or "monicker") is a pseudonym, or cognomen, which one gives to oneself. The meaning is distinct from nickname, in that a nickname is generally given to one by another, and not chosen for oneself.

Dahil ang "Bodz" ay pangalan na binigay ko sa akin sarili, eto ngaun ay "Moniker" ko hindi Nickname. Mabuti ng maliwanag sa lahat. Anyways, sa aking pagtratrabaho dito sa opisina. Aking napansin nga na mahilig talaga magbigay ng Nickname ang mga pinoy. Sa aking unang team na TRU Energy Squad, ang tawag sa team lead namin noon ay "Kapitana". Dun pa lang ay nagulat na ako. Si Bel naman ang tawag ay "Penguin" dahil mukha nga naman siyang penguin dahil siya ay bilog. Pero meron isa dun na pinaka champion sa lahat dahil ang daming nickname sa kanya. Si Joyce naman ay "Tarsier" or "Window of the Soul" dahil malaki ang mata niya buti na lang hindi "Mata" ang tinawag sa kanya kung hindi Joyce "Mata" ang tawag sa kanya. Si Kathy naman ay "Panda" dahil Chinese siya at mukha siyang panda.

Kahit na kapag kami ay nagbabasketball, habang pinapanood namin yung mga bago, nagbibigay kami ng nicknames sa kanila. Isang dahilan dito ay hindi namin kilala ang mga pangalan nila. Tulad ng "Shoulder Of Fortune" na basketball nickname kay Kaloy, "The Destroyer", "The No Look Face Fake" na basketball nickname kay Pipe at marami pang iba.

Kahit sa amin magkakabarkda meron may nickname. Si Dave ang may pinakamaraming nickname tulad ng "Goy","Mankey","Hortaleza" at marami pang iba. Si Glenn naman ay si "Sweet" dahil kamukha niya si John Lapuz. Si Topeng naman ay si "Topeng"... di ba?

Ganyan talaga tayong mga pinoy, pagdating sa nickname, hindi tayo mauubusan. Eto ang Ugaling Pinoy # 1.

Boracay

First time ko pumunta sa boracay last December 13 at nagstay kami dun hanggang December 15. Ang masasabi ko lang ay kulang ang 3 days dun para masulit. Ok kung mga 4 to 5 days. Medyo magastos nga lang pero tingin ko ay sulit naman. Magaganda ang beach sa Boracay. Hindi mainit ang buhangin kahit na tanghali at malinaw ang tubig. Pero kapag hapon minsan may makakating kumakagat sa dagat pero sa umaga wala yun.

Anyway maganda ang bora at sana mamaintain nila ang kagandahan nito para sa iba pang generation. Dito mo makikita at maappreciate ang kagandahan ng kalikasan at kapangyarihan ng Diyos dahil nagawa niya ito sa loob lamang ng 5 araw! Samantalang ako change handler lang inabot na ng ISANG BUWAN! At hanggang ngayon di pa rin tapos! Bwiset!!!

Isang pang natutunan ko ay matitigas talaga ang face ng mga kasama ko (except cguro si allan). Kitang kita naman sa pictures kung gaano katitigas ang mga face nila.

Heroes Season 2

So far my impression of Heroes Season 2, I'm not that excited. I was able to predict that Adam Monroe would be Takezo Kensei. Also if Kensei/Adam Monroe's objective of making humanity suffer is his revenge to Hiro for stealing his "princess", that would make the story suck. There must be a deeper meaning for Kensie/Adam's hatred for humanity. Actually Hiro did not steal the princess, the princess fell in love with Hiro in the first place so its not Hiro's fault entirely.

Loosing the person you love because she fell in-love with another even if that person if your friend and betrayed you isn't really a valid reason to kill 93% of the world population. Right?

I miss the good old days

Its been almost 5 months now when the company transitioned to new management. During this period the social club would be very active. With many office games/programs being held in preparation of Christmas. But since June, we were unable to implement any of the programs we wanted because it probably won't get approved.

Our motto has now changed... from "Work hard, Play hard".

Its now, "Work harder, No Play You Fools!".

Maybe old people just work and for fun... they drink lots of alcohol.

Glorietta Explosion

Last Friday, an explosion in Glorietta 2 rocked the whole nation. Hundreds of people were injured and more than 10 people were killed. One of the victim was Poch's Dad. Poch was my ate's ex-boyfriend. Last night, I went to the wake with my sister. I really felt sad for them cause its never easy to endure the lost of a love one. Also during the explosion, Hanne was there at Glorietta. Luckily she was able to leave the mall uninjured. I'm so happy because God heard my prayers and kept Hanne safe. To the those who lost their lives, its probably their time to go. We'll all have our turn, we just don't know when or how it will happen. Life goes on for those left to live. Sooner or later we'll be together with them, someday.

Bleach: The Movie

I was sick the past few days. I had cold, flu and was coughing phlegm all over the place. I wasn't able to play WoW because it gives me a headache. I guess its from all that character movement, camera angle and semi first-person style. So I've decided to watch some animes that I downloaded but wasn't able to watch because of WoW. I've watched Bleach: Memories of Nobody. The animation was exceptional just what you would expect from Studio Pierrot. The story is great and the ending-theme song too. Although you have to read the translation for you to appreciate if you do not understand japanese.

Oktober na!!!

Yup. October na. Malapit na ng mag pasko at bagong taon. Malamig na rin kapag madaling araw pero mainit pa rin. Sa mga nagdaan na mga araw, akin napansin ang aking mga kaopisina. Ang mga alumni ng La Salle at Ateneo ay talagang todo supporta sa kanilang mga alma matter. Ang iba naman ay masaya dahil may libreng pizza/donut ang matatalong school. Hindi ko ito naramdaman sa aking alma matter ng Mapua. Bukod sa ban-ban ang team namin, hindi talaga ko nagsubaybay ng mga nangyayari sa NCAA. Siguro kahit na magaling at champion ang Mapua, wala pa rin akong paki. Sa nakikita ko, maganda ang ginagawa ng La Salle at Ateneo na gawin active ang mga estudyante nila sa pagdadala ng kanilang panglan. Ngunit hindi kaya mas nagiging elitista ang studyante nila at nagiging mababa na ang tingin sa iba? Hindi naman siguro lahat pero tingin ko meron mga ilan na ganito ang pag-iisip. Pero kapuri-puri ang kanila todong supporta at pagiging proud sa kanilang paaralan. Sana ay ganito rin sila sa ating bayan.

I'm going to the gym today. Janet transferred her account to me since she'll be going to the US for awhile. Most people are making a serious effort to be healthy. There are a lot of health products available like liver aid, virgin coconut oil and the likes that claim the importance of taking supplements for a good health and long life. But almost all doctors would say that regular exercise is a must. So I thought that its probably the right time to invest more time in physical activities. I'm not aiming to have a body worthy of becoming a spartan. I just want to be healthy. Not to get tired easily because lately i feel that i get sleepy during 1pm to 4pm. I also would like to loose some weight specially in the abs area. I would like to dedicate myself to this activity in the same way I dedicate some of my time playing WoW. Exercise + WoW = Happy. Hehehe.

Yup. My paladin that I stopped playing at level 36 is now level 45. I'm seriously playing it right now because I saw the importance of paladins in end-game raiding. I'm hoping that before we move on to SSC and TK my pally will be level 70 and joining the raid probably as a healer. I've respec it to prot and i'm really enjoying it right now. I can attack 3 mobs all at the same time and still survive.

Heroes Season 2 and A New Police Story

I was able to watch the first episode of Heroes Season 2 and I'm quite disappointed. Due to one reason, why is Kensei a bloody-fucking British guy? Well I don't want to put down the whole season just because of the first episode. So I'll continue watching it and give my comment at the end of the season.

I watched "A New Police Story" last Tuesday since WoW had a long maintenance due to the go-live of patch 2.2. This is like a reboot/remake of the original police story. Reboot because Jacky Chan is still the main protagonist yet the story is not a continuation of previous Police Story films. The movie has a different story and main character. But like previous Police Story, it is more serious and dark compared to other Jacky Chan films. It is a good film to watch. If you like martial films and is fan of Jacky Chan's films, then you should definitely watch this. I'll just leave you with some of my favorite lines from the movie.

Suzuka manga is finally ending...

The manga is coming to an end. Probably only 2 chapters to go. The ending is... Suzuka and Yamato are going to the married. That's right folks. Suzuka got pregnant thus they would no longer continue to achieve their dreams of becoming Japan's number one track and field players. They've decided to have the baby and get married. To raise a family in Japan's harsh environment. So, that's it they chose love instead of dreams. I have mixed reactions regarding this ending but I think its for the best. I'm glad Yamato and Suzuka decided to get married instead of having abortion. Its a good choice in my point of view. Well I'm looking forward for this manga to become an anime.

WoW Update
Been raiding every week. The group seems very steady and making good progress in Kara (We downed prince last night). I think if this continue in a month or two, everyone will be ready to raid 25-man instances.

Family Update
My eldest sister left to study in japan yesterday. So only my mom and me are left at the house. I can see that my mom's really sad cause she and my sister are quite close. I know that she misses her. But since it's a masteral course, it will only be for two years. She'll also try to go home during Christmas. I know that she'll be fine there. I hope she'll be able to reach and achieve her goals in life.

I haven't posted any wow screen shots lately so here they are. Its my first attempt to raid. Visvires group 2 finally started raiding Karazhan. Although my gear is still not at its best and my dps is low, I'm trying my best to help the raid through utility. Like CC (traps) and etc. We were able to kill midnight yesterday and killed Moroes last night. It was a good run. All of us are learning well. Good luck to all of us in the future.

Yeah... level 70 na nga ko. Akala ko nga magiging masaya na... pero lately hirap din maghanap ng group sa mga instance para kumuha ng magagandang gamit. Kaya hindi rin ako sinasama sa Kara raid. Kung di ako makakasama sa Kara raid panigurado bakit pa ko isasama sa Gruul. Baka kung kelan magaganda na gamit nila at sawa na sila si Kara saka ako pwede na mag Kara sila naman ayaw na nila. Siguro rin dahil hunter yung niroll ko na character. Marami na kasi masyadong hunter. Hays, dapat pala di ko na tinuloy yung WoW. Sayang at bayad na ko hanggang december. After matapos nung natitira kong subscription mag quit na ko. Wala rin time since kapag sabado at linggo umaalis kami ni Hanne. Nakakapaglaro lang ako kapag Friday ng gabi at Sabado ng gabi so casual player lang talaga ko kaya tingin ko hindi talaga bagay sa akin maglaro ng online games. Nakakatamad na rin gumawa ng bagong character. Pero pwede rin sa ibang server, kaso masyado ng malayo yung guild progress ng mga tao dun. Dapat talaga nag warrior na lang ako. Malamang madaling makakahanap ng group sa instance at raid. Sayang kasi yung pinagpipilian kong class nung nag reroll ako... Hunter at Warrior. Hays... sayang. Sayang at 3,714 pesos din yun. Nakakatamad na... at may favoritism pa dun sa guild ko. Yung mga senior sila ang priority sa raids at party. Kung sa bagay noobs lang ako e. Makapag PUG na nga lang. Or type ko na lang "/gquit". Changed my background. Its the Initial D Skyline wallpaper I got. If you remember, my original blog was titled The Phantom Skyline. In initial D, its my favorite car because of its cool looks, powerful engine, and ATTESSA system. Although it never one a match in initial D, it's still my favorite car. Also Hanne commented that the previous background was like a powerpoint template... too bad!

Yesterday, I accompanied Hanne in her shopping. She was able to buy a blouse, skirt, and rubber shoes for less than 1000 pesos. Of course we bought it in bargain shops at St. Francis. She's really practical, I really liked it about her. There are alot of shops that offer discounted office clothes so if you're under a tight budget but want to buy clothes for work, then you should try shopping at St. Francis Square in Ortigas.

WoW Update: Now battling my way towards Nagrand to start questing there. I have conquered Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh and Terokkar Forest. Now I'm level 66 and less than 50% more experience to level 67. Before July I'll reach level 70, I can now join my other guildmates in heroic instances and future raid activities.

Today I'll discuss what I remember about last Sunday message at CCF. It was Peter who spoke at the 6pm worship service last Sunday June 3, 2007. The message was God is immutable. This was the second part of the 'Who is God?' message series. Immutable is from the word mutation. Immutable meaning never changing. God does not change. The God in the time of Adam, Abraham and Moses is still the same God today. Go is immutable in His character. God's love towards us do not change. Even if we commit sin, even if we turn away from him, His love for us will not change. God will never hate us. He will always love us despite of the things we have done against Him. We may hate God but God will never hate us. God is immutable in His Words. What God promises he will fulfill 100%. What He has done for others, He can do for you! This is the reason why that a true believer DOES NOT worry. Because if you have faith in what God can do for you, there is no more reason for you to worry. God is always true to His promise, He will never disappoint you cause God is perfect. He has no flaws, no weakness, in other words we can depend on Him every step of the way. God does not change but we humans change. That's why we are the one that change for it will never be that God changes for us. If we want to be with the Lord, we should change our ways and come to Him. It is a very God message. Cause some people thinks that small sins of our mind are alright God. No! This is never true. A sin is a sin. God has no exceptions to those who sin. He will not bend the rule to anyone! Whoever you are, whatever you do you are not exempted. But God is a forgiving God. He will never stop forgiving us. Although there is a warning here, cause God is a just and fair God. Sins will not go away unpunished! He will forgive us but the punishment is there. That's why when ask God for forgiveness we should immediately change ourselves and turn away from sins before its too late.

Summer is over, June is here. The truth is this summer I was alway with hanne. Always with her like a boyfriends but the truth is I'm not. Should it continue like this? When school starts, they'll see each other again. They'll go out again for sure. So what will happen to me now? I don't know. I'll just pray to God to solve this problem of mine. I'll pray everyday, cause the truth is I don't want to prolong this situation. God's conclusion will be my conclusion. If His plan for me, is not to be here anymore than I will follow his instructions. Of course I also pray that He'll let me be with her. Cause I love her so.

I went to the teambonding activity last Saturday and Sunday at Grande Island resort at Subic. I can say that I'm glad I joined the activity cause there were so many things to do and I was able to share laughter and moments of victories to my teammates. Also I was able to have some fun with my friends here at the office.

I just got the offer letter from oracle... and guess what... I got promoted and had an increase in salary. I'm so happy... Last night I hit the level 60 mark! Woohoo! Outlands here we go! Just ten more levels then I'll be reaching the level gap! I'll now belong to the elite group of level 70 players! Can't wait to do that. Now I'll be capable of equiping high level gear and such!!! Now's the time! Glory to the alliance!!! And look I have a new pet!!! Its an owl!!!

Last Wednesday I was able to complete my CCF Class 101: Church Membership. Now I'm officially a member of CCF. But it doesn't end here, I have to live my life by the Church, in other words be Christ-like in every aspect of my life. It would be hard but I know that CCF is there for me. Now I'll be active again in serving the Lord. Lord, now that I am saved, I will serve you and may your will be done on me.

Weekend activities: Woke up at around 10 am. Did some errands and played WoW for an hour. I also prepared some stuff to bring cause today I'll be spending the day at the Rebollos residence. Supposedly I'll be reformatting their PC but that didn't happen because all of them were using it. So I'll just reformat it next time. But I really had great time with them. Princess and Gino was there too. We watched The Marine starrting John Cena and somehow watched another movie starring Russell Crow. It was so much fun to spend the time with them.

WoW Update: Now I'm a level 59 hunter. Just one more level and I'll hit the level 60 mark! Then Outlands here I come! Currently fighting in the BG. Last night I hit a record of 72 kills and about 500+ honor points! I'm so happy cause I was able to kill alot of Horde.

Uguu~ mood: Happy but a little bit sad...

Anyway, busy pa rin sa work until end of April. Wala na rin pera pero I know that God will provide. Ganda ng message kagabi sa CCF. Sabi na maraming Christians ang nababaon sa utang dahil sa credit card! Wahahaha! Isa na ko dun! Sabi niya na magtiwala sa Economy of God. Wag gawin wants ang needs at be satisfied of what you have. I want to apply this to my life. I want to pay off my debt para naman makapag ipon na ko. At para this time pag sweldo ko, wala akong kailangan bayaran utang! I know na sa tulong ni God ay hindi ito impossible, medyo matatagalan nga lang pero I don't have to be impatient. I know it will all happen to me, all good things that God has planned would be realized in my life, I just have to be patient and submit to Him.

Some changes to my room: My bed's gone, I only have a foam to sleep with!!! But then when I looked at it, I realized that my room was larger compared to the other rooms. I can now buy the table I want and place my PC there.

My Dad got hospitalized. According to the doctors its caused by de-hydration (don't know the spelling but you get the point). He will be sent home today. He'll be getting checked-up here and hopefully its nothing serious. I'm glad he'll be with us for awhile, I just hope he and mom can get along.

Last sunday, I was with Hanne, Great, and Dyan. The three of six Rebollos siblings. Although NG lost at the first round of the Dino King tournament, he accepted the lost well and moved on. It was a fun day. I'm glad I was able to spend the day with the three of them.

WoW Update: Now a Level 56 hunter. I decided to acquire a new pet since by level 59-60, I'll be concetrating on the battle grounds so that I'll be able to have the epic mount I wanted, so I decided to train a DPS pet. I'll post the pictures later when I get home.

Uguu~ mood: Poor in spirit! Lol!

WoW Update: My hunter is Level 55 just 5 more levels to go then i'll be level 60. When I hit the level 60 mark I'll be buying the burning crusade expansion pack and move into the outlands in order to hit the level 70 mark with just a few more questing and grinding. It would be my first time hitting the level cap for a MMORPG. No wait, I remember that I hit level 99 when I was playing in a Ragnarok private server before so its not really my first time. But it would feel great to hit the level 70 mark!

It will be salary day tommorow!!! Thank God! This time I'll be more responsible. I swear I'll budget it and save some for my future.

2007 Spring Anime. Not much to look forward to. Currently downloading, Code Geass, Romeo X Juliet, and sola. I hope I won't be disappointed.

Yesterday was my birthday. I was happy. It started out as a normal day for me. Then at night my high school friends came over. Thanks Ricci, Wayne and Richard for coming. We had a couple of drinks and pulutan. It was fun chatting with them. We talked about almost on every topic we can think of. Particularly about sports like basketball and boxing. Yesterday, I woke at around 11 am. I think I drank about 5 bottles of San Miguel Light. Played WoW until 5 pm afterwards I went out with Hanne. We went to attend mass at Guadalupe church and ate diner at chowking. It was a simple day but I was happy. The real challenge now is the next years of my life. Only 6 years remaining and I'll be 30. Time to level up and take the challenge. Be more mature on making decisions and be more helpful to others.

WoW Update: Currently a Level 53 hunter. BM spec. With high agility gear and 12-13% critical strike chance. 5 levels to go and i'll need to upgrade my account to BC expansion. Sheesh.

For the first time, I was able to hit the level 40 mark. Only 30 levels to go then I'll hit the level cap, as if that would be easy. Anyway, I'm just glad I hit the level 40 mark. I can now wear mail, ride on a mount but most of all I can equip this bad ass gun! It would be harder from now on. More group quest, harder instance more ganking. But as long as I persevere, I now I'll be able to reach my goal... Level 70!

Anyway, since I'm feeling better I've decided to play WoW seriously. I started playing in November yet my paladin's level is only 36 as of the moment. I stopped playing my paladin and created myself a hunter. I guess my gameplay style doesn't really match that of a paladin. It's also a good change of pace, since I was playing pally when I was depressed, my hunter is a symbol of a new beginning. I created it last wednesday, valentines day, now it's level 20. I've logged in only 1 day and 6 hours of playing time. Grinding is exceptionally easy for a hunter cause you have a pet to tank you. Also I'm a long range class fighter so my actions are planned before hand before I attack. There is also the element of suprise there and it's really helpful in grinding enemies with higher levels than me.

Eiji Date Retires

I'm currently playing PSP version of Fight Night Round 3. I really like it! The career mode is really exciting cause you create your own boxer and fight your way to the top! The first boxer I created was Eiji Date. His record is 43-0-0 43 KO's. All my fights were KO's. He laso retired as the World Featherweight Champion, World Lightweight Champion, and Unified World Champion. At age 36 he won all the titles but retires before defending it.

Hehehehe. Wala lang. Asteeg yung career boxing mode! Pangarap ko talaga maging boxer! Woot!!!

The first play I watched since Miss Saigon (that's quite long...) Anyway, it's worth it! I'm glad I watched it! Eula Valdez is so sexy! Hehehehe. My favorite part is... the Beer House Part when she dances Careless Whispher like a stripper! Hehehehe. But overall the play is really good. I'm so amazed on how they managed to act on such a small stage! I mean 10+ people dancing there! Wow that's really amazing. How did they manage not to hit or bump with each other? I realized there that professional stage actors/actresses performs exceptionally well compared to high school students in a play. I hope this year, I'll be able to watch a lot of plays. Thanks to Janet for inviting me!

My PSP can now play Homebrew and PSX games!!!

The long wait is over... Team Noobz and Dark_Alex have created the best gift for all PSP users, the 3.03 Downgrader! Now almost all PSP that exist in this world can be downgraded and enable homebrew application to run in it. My PSP is has a firmware version of 2.81 so all I have to do was upgrade the my firmware to 3.03 and use the downgrader to downgrade it to FW1.5. After that I'll just have to use Dark_Alex 3.03 OE-C custom firmware and viola! Now I can play homebrew and ISO games! Yipee!!!

Downgrading is a very dangerous task but thanks to Richmond, I know that I wouldn't go wrong. Richmond guided me throughout the process. I'm really thankful cause he helped me out! Also my thanks goes to Jonard for letting me borrow the unpatched version of the GTA: LCS, this is a must in order to downgrade ur PSP. I'm really happy now cause I'll be able to play a lot games in my PSP. :)

I have a lot of after office activites that I will be attending to keep myself busy!

Tuesday to Friday (1 hour to 2 hours) - Jogging
Monday (1 hour) - VCF(Victory Christian Fellowship) Bible Study with Kathy
Wednesday (1.5 hours) - Dance lesson in the office

On Monday and Wednesday, I should be doing my jogging in the morning. The problem is I can't seem to wake up early! But my determination will change that! I am determined to wake up in the morning to do my jogging!If I'm to do my jogging in the morning, I should no longer jog after office.

2007 Priorities

After hearing the message from topeng's dad, i decided to create my own list of priorities.

1. God - God is now my number one priority. In order to become a better person, Christ is now the center of my life. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His rightousness and all this things shall be added on to you." To become the person suited for God's Plan, Christ will be my number 1 priority.

2. Family - My family comes second. I don't know how would I be able to help them, but I'm going to do my best for my family.

3. Work/Career - My career should have a progress this year. My goal is to be promoted as a designer!

4. Friends - I have a lot of good friends since high school, college and now in the office. I'm lucky cause every changes in my life I meet good friends.

5. Self - i know some people my consider this higher but for me myself comes last in my priorities. My goal? Loose weight and be healthy! Look good and feel good!

Well, these are my priorities right now. God is now my number one priority!

My best Sunday

For the first time in history, I was with Hanne, her sister Dyan and her brother Great and Coycoy. Before, we were only able to spend time with Great since we supported him in the Mushi King tournament. I'm so happy to be with all of them. They really are a fun group to be with. We went to Rockwell Powerplant station. Great spent his gift certificates and we used it to play our hearts out. We were able to earn as much as 1000+ tickets! Dyan's goal was to save up to 2000 tickets to purchase the scientific calculator. A few more playing then we'll be able to purchase it in no time. After that, we ate to KFC. We were supposed to eat at McDonalds but our bunso, Coycoy (not me), wanted KFC but Hanne, Dyan and Great wanted McDo. Me? I want Shakeys! (Ako yung pasaway) On the way to McDo, Coycoy grabbed Hanne's arm and started to cry so we were "forced" to eat in KFC. Hehehehe.

We left Rockwell and went to straight to Guadalupe Market. Coycoy supposed to have is haircut in Ricky Reyes but he was 9th in line. So we went to a barber shop near by. There Coycoy was placed 6th in line. So we decided to wait there. At first, we were waiting inside. Although it's air-conditioned there aren't any space to move so we decided to wait outside. Hanne saw this hamburger stand that has a "buy one, take one" promo. She wanted to buy a hamburger for all of us (actually she wanted it herself) but me and Great discouraged her. I think that made her sad. Hehehehe. Instead Great bought a gulaman drink for seven pesos and guess what? Hanne want some too so we bought one for her. Well we were standing outside for quite sometime so we decided to wait in the car. Hanne's also "na wee-wee" (call of nature). While in the car, Great was playing PSP, I was laying my head down in Hanne's lap. When she "accidentally" pressed her elbow over my nipple! (I think it was intended) Damn! It hurt so much that I had to tell it to her and make her stop. Guess what? It made her laugh! She laughed so hard that it didn't made me angry at all. It has been awhile since I saw her laughing like that. She's really cute when she's laughing.

After that, we stopover by their house so that they can take a CR break. After their CR break, we went to attend the last mass in the Guadalupe shrine. Luckily there are still sits available. It was our first "full" mass together and the best part is I was with her brothers and sister.

My Sunday was the best! I was able to spend time with Hanne and her family and I was also able to spend time with God! Also I was able to make Hanne laugh like that again. It was a good feeling to be able to make her laugh again like that. Also when we talk on the phone as of late, I can also make her laugh sometimes. I'm just glad she's happy.

Just finished downloading Hajime No Ippo and I'm currently watching. Its an anime based on the sport boxing. Since I'm a boxing fan myself, I really enjoyed watching this coz I have some knowledge in boxing skills and moves.

Everything seems to be fine... but I really can't be sure since no answers is given yet. I just hope my Christmas wish would be fulfilled.

ORACLE acquires SPL WorldGroup

It has been finalized. Oracle has acquired SPL WorldGroup on undisclosed amount. Needless to say, we will all become ORACLE employees from here on. A lot of changes will occur within the company. I just hope that it would improve and ORACLE management will treat us well. But I'll probably resign sooner or later because I want to work on other technologies like C#, C++ and Java.

It's time to quit RAN, welcome to WoW

After a lot of time and money was spent, it's time for me to quit RAN. Marvel-III was ordered to be disbanded by our GL. Its the sign I've been waiting for. RAN was a good game but interest in it does not last that long. It's a grinding game. All you do is grind, the quest aren't detailed. Most of the population are "kids" with attitude problems. Although I have to admit that I enjoyed the game because of the unique school atmosphere and cool skills, in the long run there aren't much things to keep you occupied. All you do is level up your character and not much customization can be made. It's time for me to move to WoW.

WoW is a polished game compared to RAN. The quest are very detailed. I also play in an international server so most of the players are foreigners. I thought they would be rude but to my suprise most of them are polite. I think spending time and money in WoW is much worth it. It's payment it on a monthly basis and charged through credit card so spending is controlled. Unlike in RAN that you have to spend on premium items that expires to enjoy the game.

Career Path

I should make a decision now on my career. I've been working for almost two years now so I think its time for me to decide. I know that God has a plan for me, I just have to choose the right one.

Honey and Clover ends

Honey and Clover one of my favorite anime has finally ended. I really like the ending. The mangaka really did a good job on this. Takemoto, Hagu, Morita, Ayu, Mayama, and Shuuji... all of these characters left an impression on me. How life will let you meet people along the way whom you would call friends at the same time you will leave them behind. But the good thing is we have memories of them with us as we carry on. Sooner or later I will be like that characters in Honey and Clover, I will be moving on leaving people important to me behind to meet new ones on the way. I have to take charge of my life, take control of my future. It feels like I'm just drifting, going with the flow. Sooner or later, i would realize that I'm already old and oppurtunities have already passed me by. I don't want that to happen. I want to grab all oppurtunities available as much as possible. Because life is too short to grab all those oppurtunities. To open all those boxes called destiny.

My last update was last august. Wow. Its already October 12. Yup "ber" month is already here. And so is the 13th month pay. Hahahaha. I would really like that Pentium D set with a PCI-E video card and DDR2 memory, klipsch speaker, widescreen LCD monitor. Hehehehe. Well that would be nice. Oh PS3's going to be released too. Hmmm. Which should I buy first? Hehehe.

Anyways, i'm still going out with my hanne baby. Still going strong ^__^. Currently playing RAN online. Now I'm a level 115 Int Swordsman. But i'm planning to changed to a pow swordie or dex one but it would cost a lot of money buying oblivion potions. I will need 6 obli D potion so that will be 6 * 440 pesos = 2460. Wow. I could buy a hard disk with that amount. I'm currently the Gang Leader of Marvel-III and swore alliagance to Marvel's GL Professor'X. I was able to finally join a gang that is stable with some good people as its members.

Work stuff. I was moved to the TRU Energy OSS team. Since Jing-jangs was moved to AGL with SPL's all time favorite employee. Since OSS is always a three-man team, I will be jing's replacement. Now I'm with Pipe, Bel and Joanna. Need to practice my australian accent.

NBA season is just a few weeks away... hmmm will it be phoenix this year? ^__^ Shaq's stupid, he should have his NBA career revoked.

RAN Online and the world of MMORPG (online gaming)

i've started playing RAN Online about two weeks ago. Dabe was the one who introduced me to the game. Its an online MMORPG like ragnarok but the premise is set in modern times. The characters are posted as students of prestigous schools battling out each other for supremacy while defeating the forces of evil that exist in the world of RAN. The good thing about this game is that it is for free. You're free to play anytime as long as you have an internet connection. But in order to purchase premium items like the famous rosary (2x exp when worn) you have to buy top-cards which you can buy in peso. If you want to level-up fast you really have to spend some money like me (Already spent 600 pesos). Overall the game is good. Its background story is very interesting. The environment and characters are in full 3D so its quite enjoyable to play. Aside from that, you can also see some female characters only wearing their undies. The only thing is its the same as any MMORPG, KILL! KILL! KILL! Kill enemies and level-up. Join a party to level-up faster. When you're strong enough join a gang and kick some ass. So its basically a one way track. You'll just have to be strong until you're satisfied and quit. At first I was really being addictive to it but suddenly i realized that even if I become strong, I wouldn't become the strongest character in the game. There would always be someone stronger than me. Its just normal since MMORPG are designed this way in order to balance out the power of each character. So why still play?

I releazied that i must not invest too much time and money into MMORPG. Maybe the primary reason why i started playing MMORPG again is that RPGs in PS2 are declining in quality recently. The truth is I no longer have any quality games to play. So I played RAN Online in order to kill some time. I have already purchased 600 peso woth of top-up cards. So far I have loaded 400 into my account. I still have 200 peso worth of top-up cards to be used for next two weeks. The one thing I probably like in playing MMORPG is that you're not alone playing out there. You can meet new friends create a party and a bond of friendship but that's not all. You could also meet immature players that wants to duel you every now and then. I really hate arrogant players. Most of the time this arrogant players are the "kids", young teens playing the game.

Kids these days, most of RAN players are probably secondary school students or even some elementary school students. It bothers me that most of them play in computer shops! They play for 1 to 5 hours per day! How much money do you think it costs them? They're just students and they're spending a lot for a game that isn't really worth investing in. MMORPG are just for fun, spending money for something like this wouldn't really make you're parents happy.

Its no problem for people like me. I'm already working so I have the freedom to spend my money on things I wanted. But still I don't want to spend big amounts of money for the game. For me its still important to invest my money in studying (specialized courses like Java, C++ etc.) or buying a Klipsch Pro-media 5.1 speakers (drool) that is worth 18,000 pesos! Or you could just save money for the future. Treat your family to vacation trip or apply for a health and life insurance. Things like these are worth spending your money with and not on MMORPG games.

So as a policy, I would only spend 300 or maybe just 200 pesos worth of money for RAN online every month.

New glasses

I've had my glasses made this friday. I was on leave so I decided to go to the optical to have a pair of glasses made for me. They told me to come back the next day to pick-up. I immediately went to landbank to pay my remaining tax balance. When its my time to pay at the counter, they told me to bring a new Form 1700? I was really confused since I was only going to my tax balance for the year. So I went to the nearest BIR Office, when I got there they already moved to their new office in Taytay! Since it was raining, I decided to go home.

Saturday, it was raining all day! I just stayed home and watched Basilisk. At around 2 pm Hanne came. I was so happy because I got to see her again. We spent the rainy day together at home since we can't really go anywhere because of the rain. At around 6 pm, we went to the optical to the get glasses. After that, I escorted her home. I got back home at around 9 pm. I watched Smallvill's 5th season on DVD. I watched episode 1 to 3. After that, I went to sleep.

4 Years

Last friday, June 23, me and hanne celebrated our 4th year anniversary. I'm very thankful to God for He has given me a wonderful girlfriend. Since we were both not available on that day, we celebrated our anniversary last saturday. We met in greenbelt and watched Scary Movie 4. I didn't enjoy the movie that much but it did made me laugh a few times. After that I was planning that we would it in a class a or b restaurant but hanne insisted that she wants to eat at mcdonalds... and so we had our anniversay dinner at mcdonalds... well she likes to eat there so i didn't object. if she's happy then i'm fine with it. I'm just happy that I was able to spend the day with her and probably the rest of my life with her. *naks*

Carting...

After our date, I escorted Hanne home then went to UCC cafe to meet up with Joyce and Janet. The three of us then went to SpeedZone, the venue for the carting event. We waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes before we started. I've experienced carting before in subic but i was with relatives so there is no competition. I've enjoyed the carting event since I really wanted to try racing. I did my best but my best lap time was only 01:10 and i was 8th overall. Its my first time so there is still alot of room for improvement. I think I will continue to attend this activity as much as i can from now on.

Debt...

I'm currently paying an overwhelming amount of Debt. I hope I can pay them before the year ends. Haaaayyyy. So poor.

200 GB Hard Disk and Laptop!

I was able to buy the much needed upgrade in PC, a 200 GB hard disk!!! Now I can download more anime and watch them all. I'm planning on selling them but all of them are fansubs so it should be free right? Is it all right for me to sell them? I wonder. Anyway, as of now my anime collection is over 60 gig already! I'll buy another 200 gb or 160 gb hard disk after my 200 gb is full.

I was also able to buy an IBM Thinkpad T23 model for only 2,000 pesos. Can you imagine that? It has defective battery though and it doesn't include a power adaptor. The cost of repacking the battery is 2,400 and the adaptor is 2,000. So the total cost would be 6,400. I bought a working laptop for 6,400! I can even sell it at 18,000 to 20,000 pesos but i think i'll keep it since my sister and hanne might need it. I've always wanted to buy a laptop although the one I bought do not have specs to boot, hey its still a laptop!

Fate/Stay Night episode 24 has been released. its the final episode of this series. i'm currently watching episode 5 so far the story hasn't progressed much but i have high expectations on this anime.

school rumble episode 10 is taking so long to be released. well can't really blame the fansubs. most of them are students so they must be busy with their studies or work. anime like school rumble is worth the wait so while waiting i'll watch other animes i have downloaded...
